TAMPA, FL - Gabriel Rincones Jr. and Cole Moore each homered in the ninth to give the Clearwater Threshers (8-6) a late lead, but the Tampa Tarpons (6-8) hit a walkoff home run to win 7-6 at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Saturday evening. The Threshers and Tarpons conclude their six-game set in Tampa on Sunday afternoon.

Ricardo Rosario and Justin Crawford each walked in the first two at-bats of the ballgame, and both advanced one base on a groundout. In his first at-bat since April 11th, Chad Castillo drove them both home on a single to left field off Tarpons starter Sean Hermann to put the Threshers up 2-0 in the first.

Rincones Jr. sent the first pitch of the fourth inning into left field for a leadoff double. He advanced to third on a groundout and scored on an RBI single by Jordan Dissin that extended the lead to 3-0.

The Tarpons tied the game in the fifth with a solo home run from Felix Negueis and a two-RBI single from Jared Serna. Serna drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the seventh that gave the Tarpons a 4-3 advantage.

Bryan Rincon extended the inning with a two-out base hit and moved to second on an errant pickoff attempt by Tarpons reliever Manny Ramirez. Moore gave the Threshers the lead 6-4 on a two-run blast over the right field fence. In the bottom half, however, Tampa took over, with a sacrifice fly to make it 6-5 and a two-run homer by Anthony Hall to win on a walkoff 7-6.
