Three Trades Announced as Lumberjacks Add Raftery and Dahlheimer to Roster

Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release


MUSKEGON - Wednesday was a busy day for the Muskegon Lumberjacks as the organization made three trades. Patrick Raftery of the Lincoln Stars and Wilson Dahlheimer from the Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League have been added to the Muskegon roster. The moves add a veteran presence to the Lumberjacks forward corps to assist in the development of younger players. Details on the trades and players involved are below.

Sioux City Trade

Lumberjacks Receive:

2024 Phase I 3rd round

2024 Phase II 3rd round

Musketeers Receive:

Owen Keefe, Defense, 2006

2024 Phase II 6th round

Keefe is in his second season in the USHL after being tendered by Muskegon during the 2021-2022 season. The Saugus, MA native played in all but one game for the Jacks this season and holds a career stat line of 4 goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 70 games played. Keefe is committed to play college hockey at Boston University in the NCAA DI Hockey East Conference.

Anchorage Trade

Wilson Dahlheimer, Forward, 2003

Wolverines Receive:

A participant of the Lumberjacks Main Camp during the offseason Dahlheimer joins Muskegon from Anchorage in the NAHL. No stranger to the coaching staff Dahlheimer played last season for Jacks Assistant Coach Evan Trupp in Anchorage and rejoins him now in Muskegon. A former member of the Granite City Lumberjacks in the NA3HL Dahlheimer has climbed the ladder of development in USA Junior Hockey.

Lincoln Trade

Patrick Raftery, Forward, 2004

Stars Receive:

2024 Phase II 5th round (OMA)

2025 Phase II 9th round

Joining the Jacks from the Lincoln Stars is veteran forward Patrick Raftery. A three-year member of the Stars Raftery helped Lincoln to an appearance in the Western Conference Finals last season and can help the Jacks in a similar role this season. Raftery was teammates with Lumberjacks defenseman Jack Sparkes who joined Muskegon via trade from Lincoln last season.
