Sacramento Republic FC News Release

Shots, chances aplenty against Orange County

Republic FC battled throughout the evening - even down two men - but the club's unbeaten streak to start July ends at two with a loss to Orange County, 0-2. Even though the Boys in Old Glory Red couldn't find the back of the net, they managed to put 15 shots on OCSC and create scoring opportunities.

First Half Energy

Much like Wednesday's draw with Oakland Roots SC, Republic FC found numerous for shots. The Indomitable Club outshot OCSC 7-5 in the first half, with five of the seven coming inside the 18-yard box. SRFC also out-possessed Orange County 58 to 42 in the opening 45 minutes.

Shots Aplenty

Republic FC's 15 shots on Saturday came off the boots of 10 different players, including a team-high three from Jordan McCrary. Tucker Bone logged two after subbing on in the 64th minute, one of four subs to record a shot against Orange County. The 15 shots from the Boys in Old Glory Red - including eight in the second half - were the most by an OCSC opponent this season.

The Indomitable Club's 15 shots came from a variety of places on the night, stemming from a variety of setups. 11 of SRFC's 15 shots came inside the box, and Republic FC produced 18 open play crosses (11 in the first half). Sacramento also produced six headers and created 10 scoring chances on the night, including a team-high four chances from Dariusz Formella.

On the defensive end, the Indomitable Club did not concede a goal after going down a second man in the 79th minute.
