OKC Energy FC V Indy Eleven Contest Postponed
July 11, 2021 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
OKC Energy FC News Release
The USL Championship announced tonight the contest between OKC Energy FC and Indy Eleven had been forced to be abandoned early in the second half due to lightning and heavy rain that forced the teams from the field at Taft Stadium. Once the teams exited, the stadium lost power and could not be restored in a timely manner.
Under the USL Championship's rules, the game - which was tied 1-1 upon its suspension - will be replayed in its entirety from the opening kickoff.
A date for the rescheduled contest will be announced in the coming days as it becomes available.
Tickets for tonight's game will be valid at that later date.
