GLENDALE, AZ --- The Canadian Lacrosse Association announced today that three members of the Arizona Sting will be serving on Team Canada's defensive core at the upcoming World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. Peter Lough, Scott Self, and Bruce Murray will all represent Canada at the prestigious tournament, which is set to take place between May 14 and 20 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

"I am very excited at the opportunity to play for my country," said Lough. "It will definitely be a great experience and I'm honored to have been selected."

Lough, 32, and Self, 27, have been members of the Sting since their inaugural season in the Valley of the Sun in 2004. Murray, 29, is in his second year with the team after being acquired via trade in the summer of 2005. The talented trio will be joined on Team Canada's defensive unit by Taylor Wray (Calgary Roughnecks), Ryan Cousins (Minnesota Swarm), John Gallant (Colorado Mammoth), and Andrew Turner (Edmonton Rush).

Sting Head Coach/General Manager Bob Hamley was named to the Canadian coaching staff last October. The elite squad's forwards and goaltenders are expected to be announced next week.
