
Three Skyrockets Headed to the All-Star Game

Minot, ND - January 15, 2008 - The Continental Basketball Association today announced that Minot Skyrockets head coach Chris Daleo will once again pilot the CBA's top talent as coach for the American Conference All-Star team at the 2008 CBA All-Star Classic on January 22, 2008 in Yakima, Washington. Daleo was selected as the All-Star coach based on his first place record of 17-7. This is his fourth stint as an All-Star coach in his six years as a CBA Head Coach. He coached in the Classic in 2003, 2005, and 2006 with a 1-2 record, winning the 2005 game in Gary, Indiana.
Also selected to the American Conference All-Star team is the active career point leader Ronnie Fields, in his third All-Star Classic appearance, as well as Kevin Rice and Sidney Holmes. Holmes, Mr. Everything for the Skyrockets, is averaging 10.5 ppg. and 7.8 rpg and is the focal point of the Skyrockets' defense. Fields and Rice will not participate in the All-Star game. Taking their place is fellow Skyrocket Marshall Phillips, averaging 14.9 ppg. and 7.9 rpg for the Skyrockets this season.

"This is a great group of athletes that I get the pleasure to coach," said American Conference Head Coach Chris Daleo. "Each of these guys can do so many things and that's why they are here. I can't wait to get to Yakima."
The National Conference All-Star team will be coached by Paul Woolpert, head coach for the Yakama Sun Kings. Woolpert's Sun Kings have a 21-1 record. This will also be the fourth All-Star coaching stint for Woolpert, who has a 2-1 record in the All-Star Classic. The National Conference All-Star team will be announced on Wednesday, January 16, 2008.
