Skyrockets Continue SCORE Program

Minot Skyrockets News Release
Minot, ND - January 15, 2008 - The Minot Skyrockets will be continuing the SCORE (Skyrockets Cheer On Reading and Education) program for the 2007-08 season. The SCORE program is designed to emphasize the importance of reading and encourage children to read daily in order to build their love of reading. The program also discusses the importance of education and the benefits that can be gained through education.
New to the program this year is the Reading Rewards offer where teachers can set a reading goal for their students during the month of February, which is North Dakota State Reading Month. Students who reach their reading goals for the month will be given a ticket to a Skyrockets home game.
The Skyrockets are scheduled to visit six area elementary schools on Thursday, January 17th and will visit more schools in the coming weeks. The schedule for Thursday is as follows:
