LAWTON, OKLA.-The Lawton YMCA Mighty Mites got a little help Saturday morning from Oklahoma Cavs players Albert Robinson, Marc Williams, Pierre Darden and Assistant Coach Greg Minor.

The Cavs played assistant coach to the mighty mites running them through pregame drills and cheering them on during the games.

"The parents and youth were very excited to see some of the players out here," said Billy Davis, Physical Director of the YMCA. "The appearance of the Cavs out here encouraged some of the parents to go to Monday night's game."

Many kids received Cavs t-shirts, hats and were able to get autographs and take pictures with the players.

"The Mighty Mites program was a great way for the team to get out and show their appreciation to the community," said Assistant Coach Greg Minor. "As a coach, it was nice to see the joy and excitement in the players when they interacted with the kids," added Minor.

The YMCA Mighty Mites is a youth sports program that teaches and builds character. If you would like further information on how to get your child involved with the Mighty Mites, call the YMCA at 355-9622.

The Cavalry will host a YMCA night on Feb. 9 to all Mighty Mites. Mighty Mites will receive a free ticket when accompanied by a regular priced paid ticket.
