
Three Scorpions Are All-Stars Tonight

[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-Three New Mexico Scorpions will represent the organization tonight at the CHL' All-Star Game. Defenseman Vladimir Hartinger, goaltender Andrew Martin and forward Konrad Reeder will be on the ice tonight in Broomfield, Colo. for the Southern Conference.
Hartinger is making his second appearance in the mid-season classic. The Scorpions captain has scored 30 points (10G, 20A) in 33 games this season. Six of his goals are on the power play, third most among league defenseman.
Martin, playing in his third professional season, will enjoy his first trip to the All-Star game. The Plano, Tex. native is on a personal five game winning streak heading into the break. Over all he is sixth in the league with a 2.47 goals against average and fifth with a .921 save percentage.
Reeder will also be making his first appearance in an All-Star game. The proverbial sophomore slump has avoided the skilled second year player. He leads the Scorps with 50 points, including 35 assists. The Vanderhoof, B.C. native's points are fifth most in the CHL and his 174 shots are second among all league players.
Tonight's CHL All-Star game can been seen live on the CHL Network free of charge. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. from the Broomfield Event Center with the pre-game show starting 30 minutes prior.
New Mexico returns home for a pair of weekend games starting on Friday, January 18th. When the Scorpions take the ice versus Odessa, they will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the American Cancer Society.
On Saturday, January 19th the Special Olympics will be recognized when the Scorpions host Wichita . The first 1,500 children inside the Santa Ana Star Center receive a Jr. Jersey courtesy of Peoples Mortgage. Prior to the game, the New Mexico Ice Holes will play the Media at 4 p.m. to benefit Special Olympics New Mexico. Fans holding a ticket for the Scorps game get in free to the Ice Holes charity game.
