Donate To Second Harvest Food Bank And Salute Our Troops This Weekend

Youngstown SteelHounds News Release
The Youngstown SteelHounds will host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs for three games this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday feature the SteelHounds annual food drive benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. All fans attending the 7:05 pm contests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to help feed hungry families in the Mahoning Valley. Fans making a donation will receive a special ticket offer for a future SteelHounds game.
"We feel very privileged that the food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank has become an annual event here at the Chevrolet Centre," said General Manager Joe Gregory. "This along with military night will give us the opportunity to showcase and give back to our community."
The Hounds will be saluting the Armed Forces by wearing desert camouflage jerseys on Friday and Saturday Night. The special jerseys will feature commemorative patches from the 910th Airlift Wing and will be auctioned following Saturday night's game. In addition, there will be concourse exhibits from various branches of the military and several military vehicles on display for Saturday night's game.
Sunday afternoon is a 4:05 face-off and will be "Dollar Dog Day" as all hot dogs will be just $1.00 all game long.
