Idaho Steelheads News Release

(Boise, ID) - Head coach Derek Laxdal announced Tuesday that three more rookies have agreed to terms with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads. Garrett Regan, Chris Myers, and Evan Barlow - all forwards - will report to training camp with the Steelheads on October 3.

Regan scored 31 goals in his college career and made his professional debut last spring with the Las Vegas Wranglers. The Notre Dame product had two assists in two games in his brief stint with Las Vegas.

Barlow, 23, was named Cornell's Most Valuable Player after scoring 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) last season with the Big Red. Myers, also 23, tallied 19 career goals at Quinnipiac. Neither Barlow nor Myers has appeared in a professional game.

"These are three pretty versatile kids who can play either wing," Laxdal said. "That'll give us some good depth up front, which we didn't really have last season."

Training camp for the Steelheads opens on October 3 at Qwest Arena in Boise. The team will host a pre-season exhibition game in McCall on October 10 against the Utah Grizzlies in anticipation of the season-opener on October 16, at home, against the Stockton Thunder.

Season-ticket packages for the 2009-2010 season are available now, starting as low as $450 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season ticket packages are available for as little as $150. New this season is the all-inclusive "Gold Membership." Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or visit www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
