Three Players Suspended by SPHL

CHARLOTTE, NC - The SPHL today announced that it has suspended three players for incidents in last night's games.

Augusta RiverHawks forward Kyle Watson and Columbus Cottonmouths forward Daniel Amesbury have each been suspended three (3) games for their actions during Friday's game in Augusta.

At the 20:00 mark of the second period, Watson and Amesbury left their players' bench and became involved in an altercation, for which they were assessed major penalties for fighting and game misconducts.

Watson will miss Augusta's games against Fayetteville on February 18 and 24 and against Knoxville on February 19. Amesbury will miss Columbus' games against Fayetteville on February 19, Huntsville on February 21 and Pensacola on February 24.

Huntsville forward Dennis Sicard has been suspended three (3) games for his actions in the Havoc's game against Fayetteville on Friday.

At the 20:00 mark of the third period, Sicard was assessed a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct for instigating a fight other than during periods of a game.

Sicard will miss Huntsville's games against Knoxville on February 18 and 24 and Columbus on February 21.
