
Three More Players Joining Phantoms

Lehigh Valley Phantoms News Release
Lehigh Valley, PA - The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced today that F Jay Rosehill, F Chris VandeVelde and G Rob Zepp were placed on waivers for the purpose of loaning them to the Phantoms.
Rosehill, 29, played in 34 games for the Flyers last season where he produced two goals and 90 penalty minutes. A native of Olds, Alberta, Rosehill is entering his 10th professional season and has compiled five goals, eight points and 352 penalty minutes in 117 career NHL outings to go along with 23 goals, 54 points and 1,018 penalty minutes in 360 American Hockey League (AHL) contests.
VandeVelde, 27, split time last season between the Flyers and Adirondack Phantoms compiling one assist in 18 games with Philadelphia while producing 10 goals and 24 points in 41 games in Adirondack. A native of Moorhead, Minnesota, VandeVelde is entering his fifth professional season and has tallied one goal and four points in 46 career NHL games between Philadelphia and the Edmonton Oilers to go along with 36 goals and 84 points in 235 AHL outings between Adirondack, the Springfield Falcons and Oklahoma City Barons.
Meanwhile, Zepp, 33, has spent the last seven seasons with the Berlin Polar Bears of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany. A native of Newmarket, Ontario, Zepp compiled a 24-14 overall mark last season to go along with a 2.39 goals-against average and .931 save percentage. All told, he produced 182 victories during his seven-year tenure with Berlin. Zepp last played in the AHL during the 2003-04 season when he appeared in two games for the Lowell Lock Monsters.
Lehigh Valley's preseason action continues tonight in Hershey with a 7:05 PM showdown with the Bears. Be sure to catch all the action on the flagship station for Phantoms hockey, Fox AM 1470. The exhibition season then concludes tomorrow when Lehigh Valley returns to PPL Center for a 7:05 PM tilt with the Albany Devils.
