Three Keys named to Carolina League All-Star Team

Frederick, MD - The Frederick Keys Class Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and parent company Comcast-Spectacor have announced that RHP Radhames Liz, OF Nolan Reimold and 2B Paco Figueroa and have been named to the 2006 Carolina League All-Star Team. The Carolina League All-Stars will play host to the California League All-Stars at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium in Salem, VA, home of the Salem Avalanche.

RHP Radhames Liz has been among the Carolina League leaders in ERA (2.53) and wins (5), while holding a sizeable league lead with 80 strikeouts. In his first start of the season on April 12, Liz combined with three Keys' relievers to throw a no-hitter against the Salem Avalanche. Liz earned the Orioles' Organizational Pitcher of the Month Award for April. Liz, 22, is a native of El Seybo in the Dominican Republic.

OF Nolan Reimold currently places in the Top 6 in every Carolina League offensive category, except triples and stolen bases. Reimold, the Orioles 2nd round selection out of Bowling Green State University (OH) is batting .304 with 9 HR 's, 36 RBI's and 25 extra base hits. Reimold leads the Carolina League in slugging percentage (.538) and on-base percentage (.435). Reimold, 22, is a native of Greenville, PA.

2B Paco Figueroa, the Orioles 9th round selection in the 2005 MLB First Year Player Draft, out of the University of Miami, has emerged as a spark in the Keys lineup and one of the Carolina League's top lead-off hitters. Figueroa is among the Carolina League batting leaders, hitting .296 , with 17 stolen bases on the season. Figueroa, 23, is a Miami, FL.
