Three Chiefs Recalled Following End of Season

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that forwards Shawn Mather and Steve Hildenbrand have been recalled to their AHL affiliate Cleveland Barons and goaltender Dimitri Patzold has been recalled to the NHL San Jose Sharks as a third goaltender.

Hildenbrand, 23, was second on the team this season in scoring with 28 goals and 62 points. This is the second recall this season to Cleveland for the Belle River, ONT native.

Mather, 24, scored 23 goals and 54 points in 68 games for the Chiefs this season. The Chatham, ONT native played three AHL games for Binghamton earlier this season, registering one assist.

Mather assisted on Matt Carkner's goal in Cleveland's 8-3 win over Cincinnati, Saturday night.

Patzold, 21, was 7-0-0 with the Chiefs during the regular season with a 2.71 GAA and a 0.908 save percentage. Patzold will be San Jose's third goaltender in the Stanley Cup playoffs. San Jose currently leads St. Louis 2-0, in their best of seven Western Conference quarter finals series.
