
Thrashers select Sol 125th overall

(Saginaw, MI) The Atlanta Thrashers have called on Saginaw again, this time selecting defenseman Cody Sol 125th overall in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The towering blueliner is a 91-born native of Woodstock, Ontario. In 66 regular season games during 2008-2009, Sol tallied 1 goal, 6 assists and was plus-4. He notched 2 assists in 8 post season games in the 2009 OHL playoffs.
Fellow teammate Edward Pasquale was selected by the Thrashers 117th overall earlier Saturday.
