45 OHL players selected at NHL Draft

Montreal, QC - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that 45 players that competed in the league during the 2008-09 season were selected throughout the seven rounds of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft that concluded Saturday afternoon at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
The 2009 OHL and Memorial Cup Champion Windsor Spitfires along with the Guelph Storm led the way with five players drafted from their respective clubs, followed by four players selected from the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors.
The OHL produced 45 players from a total of 99 selected from the Canadian Hockey League.
Last season, 46 OHL players were selected at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft including 11 in the opening round.
