
Thorns FC Earn 1-1 Comeback Result on the Road against Orlando Pride

ORLANDO, Fla. - In their third matchup this season, Thorns FC and the Orlando Pride played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at Exploria Stadium. Orlando took the lead early in the first half, but Portland found the equalizer late in the game to earn a point on the road. Thorns FC extended their unbeaten streak to seven games (5-0-2) as Simone Charley tallied her team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Leading The Attack
Thorns FC (9-3-2, 29pts) have tallied 21 goals this season, which leads the NWSL. Charley tallied her team-leading fifth goal of the season. The goal was Charley's fourth with her head this year, which is the most for a single player in this regular season. Meghan Klingenberg notched her team-best third assist of the season, and 15th of her career with Portland, which ranks her second all-time in club history.
Thorns FC Against Orlando
Tonight's match marked the third and final meeting between Portland and Orlando in the regular season. In 14 matches played against Orlando, including playoffs, Thorns FC lead the all-time series with a record of 10-2-2.
