
Thomas Returns to Dazzle

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 31 â The Roanoke Dazzle has reacquired forward James Thomas and waived center Sean Finn, according to an announcement by National Basketball Development League director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Dazzle head coach Kent Davison.
Thomas returns to Roanoke after playing out a pair of 10-day contracts with the Portland Trail Blazers. The rookie from Texas ('04) played in nine games (two starts) for the Trail Blazers, averaging 12.4 minutes, 2.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He grabbed 15 rebounds against Cleveland on January 19. Prior to his GATORADE Call-up on January 9, Thomas played in 14 games (14 starts) for Roanoke, averaging 37.3 minutes, 12.1 points and a league-leading 14.2 rebounds.
Finn, who was acquired in a trade from Fayetteville on December 13 for guard Mike King, played in 14 games at Roanoke, averaging 15.0 minutes, 2.0 points and 3.4 rebounds. Overall this season he has played in 24 NBDL games (two starts), averaging 17.9 minutes, 3.3 points and 3.7 rebounds.
Thomas is expected to be in uniform when the Dazzle (13-9) is host to Asheville (15-9) tonight at the Roanoke Civic Center. He will wear jersey #0. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
