NBDL daily developments

January 31, 2005 - NBA G League (G League) News Release

WHO'S HOT? Roanoke's Sung-Yoon Bang and Matt Carroll are. Over the last two games Bang has converted 22-of-35 field goal attempts (.629), 4-of-4 free throw tries and averaged 25.5 points. Over the same span, Carroll has averaged 25.0 points while connecting on 18-of-36 (.500) from the floor and 11-of-12 (.917) from the free throw line.

RETURNING TO GIVE: After missing three games with the flu, Fayetteville point guard Omar Cook has come back strong, averaging 9.5 assists over his last two games to regain the league lead in that category (8.2 pg). He also leads in minutes played and steals per game.

NBDL STATISTICAL LEADERS
Category Player Team PG
Scoring Matt Carroll Roanoke 19.7
Rebounds Rodney Bias Huntsville 13.2
Minutes Played Omar Cook Fayetteville 38.1
Assists Omar Cook Fayetteville 8.2
Steals Omar Cook Fayetteville 2.2

HOME COURT: How valuable is the home court? Only one NBDL team, the Florida Flame, has a losing record at home, while only three teams (Columbus, Asheville and Roanoke) have winning records on the road. The league-wide home court record is 42-31 (.575).

DRAGON HUNT: Although Asheville plays at Roanoke tonight, both are on a Dragon hunt. An Asheville victory would pull the Altitude virtually even with the Columbus Riverdragons at the top of the league standings. A Dazzle victory would pull Roanoke to within a game.

NBDL QUIZ: Can you name the Columbus Riverdragons player who set his high school's high jump record at 6-10 and answers to the nickname "Duke"?

ALL-STAR PACKAGE: NBDL fans dreaming of going to the NBA All-Star Game could have that opportunity very soon. One lucky winner and three guests will get to live the All-Star Dream with a package that includes four All-Star ticket packages, hotel accommodations for four and round trip airfare for four. Go to NBDL.com and find out how to win.
