LEGENDS STREAK HALTED

Cleveland defender Hector Marinaro had his scoring streak snapped on Saturday night in the Force home opener as he failed to score a point. Marinaro had scored at least a point in 60 straight games and 89 of the last 90 games. He has also tallied a point in 198 of the last 201 games dating back to the last game of the 2000-01 against the Buffalo Blizzard.

STILL GOING:

Forward Ato Leone has now appeared in 40 straight games. Leone played in all 36 games for the Harrisburg Heat a year ago.

Goalkeeper Jim Larkin has now recorded a win in his last four regular season games dating back to last season. In those four games, Jim has stopped 62 of 78 shots (.795).

OCTOBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH:

The Force Zarzour Nissan October Player of the Month went to forward Lee Edgerton. Edgerton was presented the award at halftime of Saturday night's home opener. Lee recorded four goals and added one assist in three games during October. He tallied one game-winning goal and assisted on a game-winning goal. Edgerton also was selected as the Force Tops Sensational Player of the Game on October 31.

BROTHERLY LOVE:

Cleveland will make its first trip to the city of Brotherly Love this week when the ream travels to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on the MISL Eastern Division Philadelphia KiXX on Saturday night. The game will pit the top two teams in the Eastern Division in an early battle to claim the lead in the division. Cleveland and Philadelphia will both enter the contest with a record of 3-1 and are currently tied for the lead in the East a game and a half ahead of the Baltimore Blast. The game will mark the first game of the season for the Force versus Eastern Division opponents.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN:

After a brief stop at home on Saturday night, the Cleveland will once again return to the road for their next two games. The Force will take on Philadelphia this week and then will make their first trip to Baltimore, Maryland to face the defending MISL Champion Baltimore Blast on November 14. Cleveland is currently 2-1 on the road this season after going 6-12 away from the Convo a year ago. The Force was 0-3 in Baltimore and 1-2 in Philadelphia last season. Cleveland is 24-38 in Baltimore and 6-23 in Philadelphia all-time.

Directions to the Force Fitness Indoor Soccer Facility in Warrensville Heights: The facility is located across from Thistledown Race Track on Northfield Road.

>From the West: Take Route 480 East to Northfield Road Exit and take a left on Northfield. The soccer center will be a mile and half down on your right-hand side.

>From the East: Take 480 West to the Miles Road Exit and take a right onto Miles. Proceed to Northfield Road and take a right; the practice center will be a mile down on the right.

FORCE RADIO NETWORK:

Cleveland Force fans will be able to follow the club all season long on the Force Radio Network. All thirty-six regular season games, as well as all playoff games will be aired. The flagship station for Force soccer is Sports Talk 850 AM WKNR. Any preempted broadcasts will be covered by sister station WHK 1220 AM.

FORCE COACH'S SHOW:

Head Coach Andy Schmetzer and a Force player will join host Al Pawlowski every Thursday night from 9:00-10:00 p.m. on Sports Talk 850 WKNR for the Cleveland Force Coach's Show. Tune in as Coach Schmetzer recaps last week's action and discusses strategies and scouting reports for future opponents.
