Force Defender Earns Weekly Honor

CLEVELAND, OHIO- Cleveland Force defender Josh Timbers has been named the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Defensive Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending November 2.

Timbers posted two productive games against his former team as the Force went 1-1 against the Milwaukee Wave over the weekend. Timbers, 29, blocked four shots and recorded two assists in the two outings. The native of Morganton, North Carolina, sat out the 2001-02 and 2002-03 MISL seasons after scoring 24 points and blocking 44 shots in 39 games for the Milwaukee Wave during the 2000-01 campaign.

Timbers joins Force goalkeeper Jim Larkin as Cleveland players to garner weekly honors in 2003-04. Larkin was selected as the Goalkeeper of the Week for the seven-day period ending October 26.

Cleveland will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on the MISL Eastern Division Philadelphia KiXX on Saturday, November 8 at the Wachovia Spectrum. The game can be heard live on WKNR 850 at 7:05 p.m.
