Kansas City Comets News Release
Following a week off, the Comets return to action this Sunday, November 9, when they face the San Diego Sockers for the first time this season. Game time at San Diego Sports Arena will be 6:00 p.m. Pacific.
Kansas City was 2-4 against the Sockers during the 2002-03 regular season. The two clubs will meet for the first time since Kansas City's 13-11 victory over the Sockers at Kemper Arena in a Western Conference playoff game last April 2.
Sunday will also mark the second contest in the Comets' current four-game road trip, which will culminate next weekend with games in Milwaukee (Friday, November 14) and Philadelphia (Saturday, November 15). Kansas City will then host the Philadelphia KiXX on Friday, November 28.
The Comets will practice this week at the Kansas City Soccer Dome. The team is scheduled to have off on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Kansas City Comets practices are open to the media and public. Please call Sharon Capps at 816-474-2255 to confirm player and staff availability.

ODDS AND ENDS:
- The Comets still boast the second-highest scoring offense in the MISL, averaging 6.7 goals per game. Only St. Louis (7.0 goals per game) boasts a more potent attack.
- The MISL will name its Goalkeeper, Defensive Player, and Offensive Player of the Month for October on Tuesday, November 4.
- On Monday, the League named Sagu of Dallas as the Goalkeeper of the Week; Josh Timbers of Cleveland as the Defensive Player of the Week; and Greg Howes of Milwaukee as Offensive Player of the Week.
