
Thinel's Third Period Goal Drops Blazers, 3-2

(Hidalgo, TX) - With a two man advantage, Sebastien Thinel's power play deflection goal in the third period gave the Jackalopes a 3-2 win over the Oklahoma City Blazers on Friday night at the Ector County Coliseum.
The Jackalopes were given a five-on-three power play 11:22 into the final frame when Oklahoma City's Tyler Fleck was penalized for leaving the penalty box early from a previous two man advantage for the Jackalopes.
Both teams were tied after exchanging a pair of second period goals. Odessa's Paul Kelly opened up the scoring :17 into the second period, then Dominic Leveille made it a 2-0 score with a goal at 11:24. The Blazers scored a pair of power play goals to knot the game back up with Brian Passmore and Ted Vandermeer scoring.
The Jackalopes will end their regular season Saturday against the Laredo Bucks at 7:05 PM at the Ector County Coliseum. Odessa begins the playoffs on March 27th against the Bucks at the Coliseum - also at 7:05 PM.
