
Bucks Fall 5-0 In Home Finale

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks fell to the Texas Brahmas 5-0 Thursday night at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The loss snapped the Bucks four-game winning streak, as they fall to 35-23-5 (75 points).
Brahmas net minder David Cacciola stopped all 16 Bucks shots to pickup his fifth shutout, and set a new Texas franchise record.
Texas scored four third period goals to pick up the win.
Neither the Bucks or Brahmas could light the lamp in the first period, as the game was scoreless after 20 minutes.
Laredo (22-8-2 at home) was outshot in the first period 8-4.
Texas would jump out in front of the Bucks 9:26 into the second period when Kevin McLeod laced a slap shot from the slot into the back of the net. The strike was McLeod's 19th of the season.
Sebastien Centomo kept it the score 1-0 Brahmas when he stopped Jason Deitsch on a penalty shot with 6:52 left in the second period.
The Bucks were outshot in the second period 15-6.
The Brahmas would score four goals in the third, including two in the first 6:13 of the period.
Matt Quinn (5:23), Jason Deitsch (6:13), Kevin McLeod (8:01), and Scott Sheppard (13:47) all scored in the third period for the Brahmas.
McLeod finished with two goals on the night for Texas, who set a new franchise record with their 42nd win of the season.
The Bucks were outshot 32-16 for the game, as Centomo stopped 27 of 32 Brahmas shots.
Laredo's 23 losses are the most in franchise history, breaking the previous mark of 22 set in the 2004-05 season.
Steve Weidlich played in his 300 game for the Bucks Thursday night, joining Serge Dube (381) and Jeff Bes (334) as the only three players to appear in 300 or more games in a Bucks jersey.
The Bucks close out the regular season Saturday night in Odessa.
*Cullaton To IR, Russell Activated*
The Bucks announced before Thursday's game that Brent Cullaton has been placed on the 14-day IR, and Bobby Russell has been activated from the 30-day IR.
Cullaton will be back for game one of the Bucks playoff series with Odessa on March 27th.
Russell has been on the IR since January 31st when he suffered an upper body injury against Corpus Christi.

The Laredo Bucks, in conjunction with Border Lease and Laredo Energy have announced that they will again "Pack The House For Charity" at the Bucks first home playoff game this season, April 1st against Odessa. All Tickets in every section, with the exception of glass and club level seats will be available for a minimum $5 donation, with all proceeds going to Sacred Heart Children's Home and South Texas Food Bank. The Bucks, along with Border Lease and Laredo Energy are looking to sell out the game, and have 8,002 fans at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
Tickets are ON SALE NOW by calling 718-BUCK (2825), or by going to the LEC box office. All walk up tickets on the day of the game will also be available for $5. This is the second year in a row that fans can receive a ticket for $5 to a playoff game with all the proceeds going to charity. Fans can donate more than $5 to the charities if they so choose
*Win A Vegas Weekend Or Carnival Cruise From The Bucks!*
The Bucks have announced that fans can win either a Las Vegas Weekend Getaway or a Carnival Cruise, if they purchase a Bucks playoff package.
The Las Vegas Weekend Getaway includes airfare and hotel reservations, courtesy of the Bucks, on dates agreed upon by the winners of the getaway and the Bucks.
The Carnival Cruise winner receives a FREE 4 night cruise leaving from the Port of Galveston, Texas, courtesy of the Bucks, on dates agreed upon by the winners of the cruise and the Bucks.
Winners of either the Las Vegas Weekend or Carnival Cruise may not take a cash equivalent and it is not transferable.
To be eligible to win one of the two great prizes, fans must buy their Bucks playoff package before the first home playoff game. Drawing will be held during the 1st intermission of the 1st playoff game.

*Big Discounts At Bucks Team Store*
The Bucks will be offering big discounts at the team store starting March 18th when the Bucks host the Texas Brahmas. Season ticket holders get 30% off and non season ticket holders get 15% off (excluding items that are already on sale). The discounts will run throughout the Bucks playoff run.
