Saturday was a great day for George Lund, as Lund threw six scoreless innings to carry the Torrington Titans (1-2) to a 9-2 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (1-3) at Fuessenich Park.
The Torrington Titans blew out the Pittsfield Suns thanks to 12 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Torrington Titans scored three runs in the first on the Torrington Titans scored in the first on an RBI single by Taylor Olmstead and a two-run triple by Mike Odenwaelder.
Jacob Williams couldn't get it done on the hill for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
Odenwaelder, Olmstead and Chris Scura helped lead the Torrington Titans. They combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
