Omar Sowe (Breidablik Kópavogur)

Sowe scored his first goal for the Icelandic first division side on May 22 against Fram Reykjavik. His first assist came in his third appearance for the club on May 7 against ÍA Akranes.
After making six appearances off the bench for Breidablik, Sowe made his first start for the club in a domestic cup match against Valur Reykjavik.
After going down 2-0 in the first 20 minutes of the match, Sowe scored to spark a comeback, in what would end up being a 6-2 win.
Sowe then made his first league start in a 2-1 victory against Leiknir Reykjavík on May 29.
Breidablik is currently running away from the pack in the Icelandic first division, having won all eight of their league games in the 2022 season. With 24 points, they are currently seven points clear of second place Stjarnan Gardabaer.
Sowe will get a taste of European nights this summer, with Breidablik being a part of the first qualifying round for the Europa Conference League.
The draw will take place on June 14.
Jake LaCava (Tampa Bay Rowdies)
