The Generals' 5 Game Winning Streak Comes to an End

Victoria, TX - The Generals fall to the Acadiana Cane Cutters tonight by a score of 5-2. Kaleb Keith started the game for the Generals going 6 innings allowing 4 runs and striking out 4.

Generals got on the board first tonight in the Bottom of the 3rd when Matt Burks hit a RBI single to score Pedro Barrios making it 1-0. The Generals would make some more noise in the Bottom of the 5th inning when Blake Cooper hit a RBI double to score CJ Pickering, Generals lead 2-0 going into the Top of the 6th.

The Cane Cutters struck back in the Top of the 7th scoring 4 runs to make the score 4-2. The Cane Cutters added one more run in the Top of the 9th inning to make the score 5-2. Generals didn't cross the plate in the 9th and the Final would be 5-2.

The Cane Cutters end the 5 game winning streak for the Generals tonight and will face off again Sunday at 7:05pm. Come on out to Riverside Stadium tomorrow for Speedy Stop Sunday, if the Generals win you can cash your ticket in for a burrito or taco at Speedy Stop. We hope to see you there!
