HOME GAME SATURDAY... The Fire will return home this Saturday against the division leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers. The Fire lost to the Pioneers 45-37 on March 31 to open the 2006 season. The Fire will stay home the next weekend against West Division leading Spokane. Both games will kick off at 7:00. JUNIOR CHEER CAMP... The Wildfires will be hosting there annual junior cheer camp this Saturday. The cost is $50 and parents who have not registered there children can do so Saturday morning at 8:00 A.M. in Freedom Hall. FIRE GETS FIRST ROAD WIN: The Fire defeated Tennessee Valley 62-56 on Saturday night to improve to 4-4. The Fire jumped out to a 35-17 lead in the first half and was able to hold off the Vipers in the second half to secure the win. Offensive specialist Rob Mager continued his stellar play catching 12 passes for 123 yards and five touchdowns. Lance Taylor put on yet another iron man performance catching seven passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns on offense. Taylor also returned four kicks for 90 yards, recovered an onside kick and had five tackles and a fumble recovery on defense. Wide receiver/defensive back Nate Green returned an interception for a touchdown, which proved to be the difference.

FIRE FANATIC PANCAKE BREAKFAST... The Fire Fanatic Fan Club will be hosting a charity pancake breakfast at the Chili's at 421 Hurstbourne Lane on Saturday morning June 10 from 8:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Tickets for the event are only $5.00 with all proceeds going to support the Will Power Foundation! Come out and have breakfast with the Fire players and the Wildfires. ARENABOWL XX WATCH PARTY... ArenaBowl XX is one week from Sunday, on June 11 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The Fire will host an ArenaBowl XX watch party at Salsarita's Fresh Cantina, 285 N. Hubbards Lane. Kick-off for the game is set for 3:00 P.M. Join the Fire players, coaches, and Wildfires for Coors Light specials and ArenaBowl XX.

AFL TO CROWN CONFERENCE CHAMPS... The AFL is winding down to ArenaBowl XX and will crown the National and American Conference Champions this weekend. The American Conference Championship game is Saturday at 3:00 P.M. with the Chicago Rush taking on the San Jose Sabercats. The National Conference Championship game will be played on Sunday as the Dallas Desperados square off with the Orlando Predators at 3:00 P.M. Both games can be seen on WAVE-3.
