BACK ON TRACK... The Fire (8-5) snapped their season long three game losing streak last Saturday, with a 63-61 victory over Columbus. The Fire gave up 40 points in the first half, but the defense bounced back giving up just 21 in the second half. James Scott turned in another outstanding performance with 12 receptions for 177 yards and five touchdowns. ALOHA... The Fire is currently on their way to Hawaii for a rematch with the Hawaiian Islanders (7-6). The two teams met in the Fire's first game of the season in Freedom Hall with the Fire coming out on top 37-35. The game will kick-off at 12:30 a.m. Louisville time on Saturday and you can catch the Islander web broadcast at www.hawaiianislanders.com.
DIVISION RACE... The Fire is currently locked in one of the tightest division races in af2. Right now the Fire hold's a half game lead over Quad City for Midwest Division title and Peoria is just one game back. Quad City will play Birmingham this weekend and Peoria will face Columbus. Below is a look at the Midwest Division and the remaining opponents for each team:

FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT... The Fire's final home game of the 2004 season will be July 24 against Green Bay at 7:30 in Freedom Hall. In addition to the $1 concession items their will be special discounts on other merchandise and plenty of t-shirts flying into the stands. Also the first 1,500 fans will get a Fire t-shirt courtesy of GMAC.
WHO WILL BE KING? Fire WR/DB Tony Stallings recently filmed the reality show King of the Jungle 2 for Animal Planet. Come join Tony and the Fire at the Cardinal Hall of Fame Café from 8:00 â 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 20 for the season premier. In the meantime you can go to www.animalplanet.com and check out the King of the Jungle page and vote for who you think will win.
