Chicago Stars FC News Release
Chicago, Illinois - The Chicago Red Stars are excited to announce the most recent winner of NBC's hit show "The Biggest Loser," Toma Dobrosavljevic, will be a celebrity guest at the club's big NWSL home opener against Seattle on April 18. The Chicagoland native will perform the pregame coin toss and stay for the match as well as for autographs and photos with fans. As Dobrosavljevic's charity of choice, Project Ladybug will receive a donation from the Red Stars for each Club Seat ticket sold.
Dobrosavljevic earned the title of "The Biggest Loser" by dropping 171 pounds in just under seven months and outlasting an impressive collection of 20 competitors, including two NFL players and two Olympic gold medalists. The son of Serbian immigrants has embraced healthier habits and hopes his story will inspire others and motivate them to make smart choices with the potential to lead to a better physical constitution and a more fulfilled life.
Project Ladybug is a non-profit organization with a Chicago chapter, Atia's Project Ladybug Fund, which is located at Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago and is dedicated to enriching the lives of children with life-threatening conditions and the families who love and support them.
