The Pride transition back into Challenge Cup play, set to host NJ/NY Gotham FC in what will serve as their third match of the competition.
Wednesday's contest will serve as the third meeting across all competitions in 2023 between the Pride and Gotham and their first in the Challenge Cup.
The Pride come into the midweek looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats in league play while seeking their first win in the Challenge Cup this campaign.
Gotham sits in second in the East division in the Challenge Cup standings at four points, one point shy of North Carolina with a game in hand.
Quote of the Week:
"We've played Gotham a couple of times now. They obviously played Sunday night in a tough game [against the Chicago Red Stars], but we have to focus on ourselves. We are still looking for that first win in the Challenge Cup. Ultimately, we still believe we can win the group. We are only two games in and we've put some competitive performances together. We've given players opportunities, the ones who haven't played significant minutes in the league. It's another opportunity for these players to come in and stake a claim in the starting lineup moving forward. It'll be an exciting game against a good opponent."
- Head Coach Seb Hines
