Oakland Roots SC, alongside the USL Championship, announces the 2024 full-season schedule, kicking off on March 9th at 7 PM PT at home against Indy Eleven as the team looks to return to the playoffs after missing out on the final day. Oakland Roots get underway with four of five games at home, hosting Monterey Bay FC on April 6th to end that stretch of games.

The season is filled with intriguing matchups throughout the Spring, Summer, and into the Fall, including hosting rivals Sacramento Republic on July 20th, as well as the always-anticipated trips to Sacramento and Monterey away on back-to-back weekends in June, on the 15th and 22nd respectively. Oakland will head to newcomers to the League, Rhode Island FC, on August 17th. Oakland Roots will also play host on the final day of the season against Birmingham Legion FC on October 26th.

"The new season always starts to feel more real when the schedule comes out," said Roots Head Coach Noah Delgado. "Putting opening day on the calendar and knowing when we are headed to the rivalry matches present one of the best times of the year."

Oakland Roots SC will be part of a Western Conference of 12 teams that include; Colorado Springs, El Paso Locomotive, Las Vegas Lights, Memphis 901 FC, Monterey Bay FC, New Mexico United, Orange County SC, Phoenix Rising FC, Sacramento Republic FC, San Antonio FC and FC Tulsa. The season will consist of 34 games over 34 weeks. The season will kick off on Saturday, March 9th and conclude on Saturday, October 26th. Each club will play its fellow conference opponents in a home-and-home series for 22 games with Tulsa and Memphis now added to the west. Teams will then play each of the 12 teams from the opposing conference - six games at home, six away - to make up the 34-game schedule. The playoff structure will remain the same from the 2023 season with the top eight teams from each conference qualifying for the playoffs with a single-elimination bracket.
