Thanksgiving with the Rayz

Corpus Christi, Texas: November 17, 2003 – The Corpus Christi Rayz are celebrating Thanksgiving with a hockey twist. The Rayz are teaming up with Christiwood Apartments to give back to the Corpus Christi Community. On Tuesday, November 18th at the Christiwood Apartment complex, the Rayz are holding the "Rayz and Christiwood Thanksgiving Food Drive." From 5:30 – 7:30pm, Rayz players will be collecting non-perishable food items that they will donate to the Northside Outreach Program.

Rayz fans and community members are encouraged to join the Rayz in giving to those less fortunate in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Rayz players will be collecting food items and will be available for autograph sessions and pictures with all those who come and donate. There will also be an autographed stick drawing for all those who donate food on Tuesday night.

The Rayz are extending a ticket package offer to those kind enough to give for Thanksgiving as anyone who donates at the Food Drive will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to Thursday night's game against Austin for $10. These discounted tickets are only available at Christiwood Apartments during the Thanksgiving Food Drive. Fans can purchase these tickets from 5:30-7:30pm.

The Christiwood Apartment complex is located at 2006 Airline Dr., just south of SPID. Take SPID to Airline, exit and head South to join the Rayz Tuesday night at 5:30pm for the Rayz and Christiwood Thanksgiving Food Drive.

The Rayz take on the Austin Ice Bats Thursday night at the Memorial Coliseum. The Rayz beat Austin 3-0 earlier in the season and will look to get a weekend of hockey against the Southeast Division started in the right direction. Tickets are still available.
