Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs would like to thank all of our loyal fans and supporters who came out to the Louisiana Boardwalk Saturday for our first-ever Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair! The event featured Mudbugs players and staff members playing games, signing autographs and talking hockey with fans as we gear up for the 14th season of Mudbugs hockey in the Ark-La-Tex.
In attendance for the event were past and present Mudbugs players such as forward and alternate captain Travis Clayton, who signed autographed pictures and visited with fans throughout the day. Former players Trevor Buchanan, Bill Lang and Alain Savage also spent time at the Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair along with General Manager Jason "Soupy" Campbell, Head Coach Scott Muscutt, owners Tommy & Leslie Scott and the entire office staff.
The Mudbugs set up interactive hockey activities for kids and adults, showed off real professional hockey equipment, passed out giveaway items to fans and showed highlights from last season during a busy day at the Louisiana Boardwalk.
Fans also had the opportunity to take a quiz on the summer travels of mascot Clawed for the chance to win our "Keeping Up with Clawed" contest. We're happy to announce that the winner of the competition is Sonia Morgan, a season ticket holder from Benton, LA who accurately answered the most questions after following Clawed on Facebook and through our "Bugs of Summer" videos on YouTube. Sonia will receive a spectacular Mudbugs package that includes being the
first fan to own a new autographed Mudbugs third jersey, a private locker room tour and the opportunity to watch a practice from the bench!
Thanks again to everyone who made our first Mudbugs Hockey Fan Fair a huge success, and we look forward to seeing you again in just over a month when another thrilling season of Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs hockey begins!
The Mudbugs' 2010-11 season starts with opening night on Friday, October 15 at the CenturyTel Center.
