Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - On the Brahmas fourth game in five days the Texas bench looked weary and displayed it in a 4-1 loss to the Bloomington Prairie Thunder Sunday afternoon at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

Texas ‚¬â„¢ top line each had a hand in the Brahmas first goal of the game when Jason Deitsch made a pass to Chad Woollard from behind the net who found Greg Hogeboom ‚¬â„¢s tape for the 1-0 lead. The goal increased Hogeboom ‚¬â„¢s pointstreak to 10 consecutive games and Woollard ‚¬â„¢s to 12 games with the primary assist. The Brahmas had the opportunity to go up by two with a five on three powerplay, but the Bloomington penalty killing unit played strong, shutting down Texas.

A slashing call on Ross Rouleau late in the first gave the Prairie Thunder a man advantage to start the second but Texas killed off the penalty to remain ahead. Bloomington proved they didn ‚¬â„¢t need a powerplay to score as they went with back to back goals in the middle frame coming from Jon Booras and Brett Holmbert.

The Brahmas got in penalty trouble in the final period leading to a lengthy five on three powerplay; with two men down the Brahmas gave up a goal to Jason Deleurme. In the final two minutes Bloomington ‚¬â„¢s Booras beat Wayne Savage in net for his second of the night and a Prairie Thunder 4-1 win.

On Tuesday the Brahmas head west to face the Odessa Jackalopes (7:05 pm) before hosting the Allen Americans Friday (7:30 pm) and the Laredo Bucks Saturday evening (7:30 pm). For ticket information please call (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
