Terrence Shannon leads Dazzle with 33 points and 8 rebounds

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Groove fell to the Roanoke Dazzle 98-90 on December 26th at the BI-LO Center in Greenville, SC. Terrence Shannon, who had 33 points in 36 minutes, led Roanoke. Greenville is now 9-8, and Roanoke improves to 6-9.

Fred Williams was named the Greenville Groove player of the game, with 23 points. Williams went 10 of 17 and had four rebounds.

The Greenville bench outscored the Dazzle bench 47-4. Fred Williams (23 points), Kevin Lyde (13 points), and Greg Jones (11 points) all had impressive numbers off the bench.

Billy Thomas had his first double-double of the 2002-2003 season, with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Lyde also had a double-double, with 13 points and ten rebounds.

Mikki Moore contributed 20 points and six rebounds for the Dazzle. The Dazzle held the Groove to only 14 points in the third quarter to solidify their victory.

The next Groove game will be on December 29th at 7:00 pm in the BI-LO Center. Greenville will play host to the Asheville Altitude, who is currently 7-9.
