Tucson Sidewinders News Release
The Edmonton Trappers produced a ten-run fourth inning on the way to a 17-3 blasting of the Tucson Sidewinders Friday night at Telus Field. The Trappers pounded 21 hits in the victory. Gosling suffered the loss for Tucson, allowing 12 of the hits, nine runs, eight earned in 3.1 innings. Ron Villone allowed six runs, four earned in 1.2 innings in relief..
Tucson dropped to 12-17. The Sidewinders and Trappers will play game two of the series Saturday afternoon at 12:35 p.m. (Tucson time). Erik Sabel (0-1 4.22) will start for Tucson against LHP Scott Downs (2-1 4.21).
