Ten Nashua Silver Knights Named to FCBL All Star Game

Nashua, NH - It's official! The Nashua Silver Knights will be well represented when they host the first-ever Futures Collegiate Baseball League All Star Game at Holman Stadium on Thursday, July 26th. Just how represented? They are sending ten players to the FCBL All Star Game, which is the most of any FCBL team.

Five Silver Knights will start the game which will be part of the "Original Four" team. The Original Four teams consist of Nashua, Martha's Vineyard, Seacoast and Torrington.

Starting on the mound for the Original Four Team will be Nashua's Chris Good (University of New Mexico), who is 5-0 with a league leading 0.24 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched. He has allowed only one earned run the entire season.

Joining Good as starters are first baseman Chris Shaw (Boston College), who is leading the FCBL with 31 RBI's, second baseman Logan Gillis (Bentley University), who is among the league leaders with a .356 BA, third baseman James Katsiroubas (University of Massachusetts-Lowell), who is hitting .319 and outfielder John Minucci (Southern New Hampshire University), who is tied for the FCBL lead in home runs with eight.

Also earning a spot on the Original Four All Star Team are five other Silver Knights.

Position players are outfielder Connor Lyons (Northeastern University), who leads the team in stolen bases with 14 and Rays Roman (Dakota State University), who is hitting .298 with 20 RBI's.

Joining Good on the All Star Pitching Staff are Alek Morency (Merrimack College), who is 4-0 with a 1.19 ERA, Lamarre Ray (Bentley University), who is 2-1 with a 1.59 ERA and Cody Rocha (Assumption College), who leads the team in saves with seven while posting a 1.42 ERA.
