Futures League Announces Marketing Partnership with Steamship Authority

Chelmsford, MA and Woods Hole, MA -- The Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL), one of the country's premier collegiate baseball summer-leagues and the Steamship Authority (SSA), the largest ferry service to the Islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket from Cape Cod, are pleased to announce a partnership which will add new marketing channels for both organizations while supporting collegiate baseball game on Martha's Vineyard this summer.

Futures League Commissioner, Chris Hall, commented; "We are very pleased to work in tandem with the Steamship Authority. The SSA provides families, many of them Futures League fans, affordable, leisurely travel to and from the islands." Hall Continued. "With teams in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, the Futures League features high level baseball talent and provides affordable fun for its host communities. This partnership is a natural fit for both organizations.

Steamship Authority Martha's Vineyard governor and current board chairman, Marc Hanover, added; ""We are pleased to partner with the ten Futures league teams to help promote family-oriented sports entertainment for our island residents, visitors, and the FCBL as a whole. It's really a win-win situation for everyone."

About the Futures League: The Futures League begins its fifth season in 2015 and has quickly become one of the premier wood bat collegiate summer leagues in the country. The league will play a 56 game (28 home & 28 away), nine-week schedule concluding in early August. The League Championship is determined by a playoff immediately after the season ends. Each year top players will be scouted and selected in the MLB Draft.
