Macon Trax News Release

[Macon, Ga.] – The Macon Trax are proud to continue a long time tradition in Macon hockey, the annual Teddy Bear Toss. This Saturday, Dec. 4, the Trax are asking all fans to bring a teddy bear to the game against the Asheville Aces.

After the Trax score their first goal all fans should toss their teddy bears onto the ice. Volunteers will pick up the bears and donate them to Kids Yule Love. Any fan who brings a teddy bear will receive one dollar off their ticket for the Saturday night game. Fans just need to show their teddy bear to the Centreplex ticket office on the night of the game to receive ticket discounts.

Kids Yule Love is an organization that delivers holiday gifts to needy children and seniors in more than 40 Georgia counties. The Trax have teamed up with this great organization in every season they have operated.

"I am excited that we will be able to help Kids Yule Love again this year." said Tammy Brown Director of Community Relations, "They help children from all over Middle Georgia to make sure their holiday season is special."

Fans are welcome to bring as many teddy bears as they would like to the game. Any fan that is not able to attend the Dec. 4 game can bring in or mail a teddy bear to the Trax office. All bears can be sent to Macon Trax, 200 Coliseum Drive, Macon, GA 31217. If fans have other questions concerning the Teddy Bear Toss they are welcome to call Tammy at 478-742-4849, extension 2.

The Trax are back on home ice this Friday to finish a home-and-home series with the Jacksonville Barracudas. The puck drops at 7:05 pm when the Trax will try to avenge last year's post season loss to Jacksonville.

All Trax broadcasts can be heard on Talk Radio 1670 WMWR starting 15 minutes before the puck drop. Tickets for all home games start as low as six dollars. Call the Trax at 478-742-4TIX to reserve your seat.
