Technology Helps Surge Fans Order Concessions

Mississippi Surge fans can take advantage of state of the art technology which will allow them to order food and beverage from their seats, at the Surge game Saturday against the Augusta RiverHawks at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at 7:05 p.m.
Quick-R rolled out the new system in a test area of the Coliseum on Wednesday night. The test proved successful and the company will expand the opportunity to cover most of the fans at the game.
Assistant Executive Director of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Matt McDonnell says for Saturday's game, all fans seated in the blue seats of the lower bowl of the coliseum will have the chance to order from their seats, by using their smart phone. McDonnell says fans in those seats will be able to scan a code into their phone then have access to the Quick-R menu. From the test and feedback on Wednesday, Quick R has reduced its fee for the service to $1, and has also expanded the menu of food and drink available through the service.
"This gives the great majority of our fans a VIP experience to have concession items delivered right to their seat. It is a great addition to Surge games and it's apparent that Quick-R is working hard to make this a success, based on the feedback received on Wednesday," Surge vice-president of communications Steve McCall said.
The Surge play Friday at Louisiana at 7:05 p.m. in a game that can be viewed free at Hooters Biloxi Beach. Saturday's game will be the last Surge home game for three weeks.
"The team's playing well, everyone is having fun at the games, and now with this addition, we hope everyone comes out for a great family holiday night," McCall said.
