San Jose Earthquakes News Release
Another Week, another Team of the Week nomination for Florian Jungwirth. Only this time, he's got company in the form of Chris Wondolowski!
With two goals of his own and an assist on Jahmir Hyka's, Wondo easily and obviously had his best game of the year, giving the Quakes their second and third goals of the night in a convincing 3-0 win over Portland. The two goals were assisted by...? You guessed it: Florian Jungwirth. Wondo's first was nominated for Goal of the Week, which you can vote for!
The defender recorded 10 recoveries and two helpers on a night where he proved to be dominant on both sides of the pitch. The German could be seen constantly pushing his team on and providing encouragement to every player in black and blue out there.
Congratulations to Wondo & Flo on their performances this week!
