Lake Country DockHounds News Release

Lincoln, Nebraska - Seven strong innings from Luke Hansel and a terrific performance by the top of the order made way for a wire-to-wire 8-1 win for the Lake Country DockHounds to open the series against the Lincoln Saltdogs.

Eight straight win ties the franchise-record from last July and improves the DockHounds record to a league-best 12-5, a game and a half clear of the next two closest teams.

Hansel completed seven innings for the first time this season while limiting the Saltdogs to only one run. Impressively, Hansel struck out just two batters while getting weak contact all night en route to his second straight win.

Newly-minted Batter of the Month in the American Association Ryan Hernandez continued to mash Tuesday, ending the evening a triple shy of the cycle after smacking his team-leading eighth home run and moving to 23 RBI on the season. He is on pace to smash the franchise records he set in 2024.

Dom Johnson brought home three runs, Ray Zuberer and Ripken Reyes both tripled, and Julio Carreras and Mario Feliciano each found their way on three times as the DockHounds racked up 14 hits.

Brody Rodning and Jack Ben-Shoshan both pitched 1-2-3 innings to finish off the win.

Connor Fenlong will make his fourth start at 11:05 Wednesday morning with the DockHounds going for a franchise-record nine straight wins.
