
Tardif Returns to Toledo

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that forward Jamie Tardif has been reassigned to Toledo by the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Norfolk Admirals have recalled defenseman Mitch Maunu.
Jamie Tardif will return to the Storm this weekend, after skating in a pair of games with the Iowa Stars. With the Dallas Stars' primary affiliate, Tardif did not register a point. This season with the Storm, the ECHL All-Star forward has collected 25 points (9 G, 16 A) in 25 games.
Maunu has appeared in 19 games for the Storm this season, during which time he recorded 5 assists along with 36 PIM. The fourth round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks has also seen 9 games with the Norfolk Admirals (AHL), where he went scoreless with 8 PIM.
The Storm host three games in three days this weekend, beginning Friday night at 7:35pm when they will welcome the Trenton Titans to Toledo Sports Arena. They will face the Titans again on Saturday night before finishing the weekend with a Sunday matinee against the Cincinnati Cyclones at 3:05pm.
