Falcons stay busy in community as new year opens

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons are keeping a busy schedule throughout the Fresno community as 2007 gets underway.

On Thursday, January 4, P.O. Beaulieu; Dave Borrelli; Riley Day; Brett Hammond; Ryan MacDonald; and Jonathan Tremblay will appear at Hooters in River Park from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. to play trivia with fans.

On Wednesday, January 10, Dave Borrelli and Brady Leisenring will be at Jackson Elementary School in Selma to speak at a fifth grade assembly. They will speak to the students about playing professional hockey, as well as attending college.

Cory Murphy and Brian McConnell will be speaking to fifth grade students at Manchester Gate on Thursday, January 11. They will speak about being a professional athlete as well as participate in a question-and-answer session with the students.

On Tuesday, January 16, Brett Hammond and J.F. Plourde will speak to students at Powers-Ginsburg Elementary School. They will speak about playing professional hockey, as well as demonstrate how to use hockey equipment properly.

The Falcons return home on Friday, hosting the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:30 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance receive a 2007 Falcons Poster Calendar courtesy of Community Medical Center, Dumont Printing, and B95. Tickets for all Falcons home games can be purchased at the Save Mart Center Box Office, by phone at (559) 485-8497, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, or at any TicketMaster outlet. All Falcons games can be heard on 1550 Sporting News Radio and on-line at www.fresnofalcons.com starting with the Port of Subs Pre-Game Show 15 minutes prior to game time.
