
Tarantulas waive Miller

[TOPEKA, KS.] - The Topeka Tarantulas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the club has waived forward Kelly Miller. The club has signed Max Bull and Garett Cameron to replace Miller, and the recently retired Troy Mann on the roster.
Miller, a 5'11" 170 pound forward from Toledo, Ohio played in seven games this season for the Tarantulas. In those games, Miller had one point and four penalty minutes.
Bull, a 5'10" 190 pound forward from Faribault, Minnesota played the last four seasons with the University of Denver. In those years (2000/01-2003/04), he recorded 41 points and 165 penalty minutes in 153 games played for the Pioneers. Bull was also a member of the Pioneers National Championship team last season. He played two games this season for the Lubbock Cotton Kings of the Central Hockey League (CHL), where he had 2 penalty minutes in 2 games played.
"Max was recommended to us by Bruce Boudreau [Head Coach of the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League], where he attended training camp this season". Assistant Director of Hockey Operations Troy Mann continued, "Max was described to us as a 'tenacious two-way forward'".
The club has also signed Garett Cameron. Cameron, a 5'9" 165 pound forward from Grandora, Saskatchewan, played for the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL last season. In eleven games played, he had 5 points and ten penalty minutes. Prior to entering the professional ranks, Cameron played the 2002/03 season with the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). Cameron had 106 points and 150 penalty minutes in 57 games played for the Mustangs.
The Tarantulas return home this Friday, November 12th against the Memphis RiverKings. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive David St. Germain Tarantulas posters, courtesy of Orkin, V100, and WIBW-TV.
