LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo Bucks dropped a pair of games this past weekend. Friday the Bucks lost 6-4 in Corpus Christi in the debut game at the new American Bank Center. On Saturday the Bucks were defeated 3-1 at the LEC by the visiting Austin Ice Bats. The Bucks are home this Thursday against Bossier-Shreveport with the face off set for 7 p.m. Laredo then travels Friday to Austin for a rematch against the Ice Bats. Saturday night the Bucks are at home hosting the Amarillo Gorillas. Face off on Saturday night is set for 7:30 p.m. For tickets or more information call (956) 718-BUCKS (2825) or log onto www.laredobucks.com and purchase your tickets online.  2005 CHL ALL-STAR GAME IN LAREDO · The Laredo Bucks will host the 2005 CHL All-Star Game at the LEC. The All-Star Game banquet will take place on Monday, January 10th and will be held at the LEC. The CHL skills competition will take place separate from the game and will be held on Tuesday, January 11th. The 2005 CHL All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, January 12th. THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL ⢠Laredo will wear Veterans Day jerseys on Thursday and the Bucks will be honoring veterans of all wars. An ROTC color guard from United South will perform on the ice during an intermission. Also the first 2,500 fans thru the doors at the LEC this Thursday as the Bucks host Bossier-Shreveport, receive a stress puck courtesy of Doctors Hospital.  SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL ⢠On Saturday night when the Bucks host the Amarillo Gorillas, everyone over the age of 18 receives a coupon upon entry to the LEC. There will be three different types of coupons handed out, with the winning coupons selected during an on ice race that takes place during the first period intermission. The winning coupons can then be redeemed at a Texas Lottery table in the LEC concourse. Winners will receive a scratch off lottery ticket. SPECIAL OFFER · Laredo Bucks Championship DVDs are available for purchase at the Bucks Team Store. For $30 fans can get a package that includes the DVD and a Bucks championship T-shirt. Offer limited to while supplies last. The Bucks host Bossier-Shreveport this Thursday, and then travel to Louisiana on January 28th. 2003-04: The Bucks were 1-2-0 against Bossier-Shreveport last year in the regular season. Laredo was 1-1-0 at home and 0-1-0 on the road. The Mudbugs were one of three teams that defeated the Bucks at the LEC (RGV and AMA being the others). Bossier ended the Laredo's CHL-record 21-game home win streak with a 4-1 victory on March 9th. In the playoffs the two teams met in the President's Cup Finals. The Mudbugs took a 3-1 series lead, but the Bucks rallied to win the series in seven games. All-time Laredo is 2-4-0 against the Mudbugs, including 2-2-0 at home in the regular season.  AUSTIN ICE BATS · This is the third of 11 meetings this year between the teams. Laredo beat Austin 6-2 at the Bat Cave on October 24th. Bucks forward Jeff Bes had a pair of goals in the win. The Ice Bats responded with a 3-1 win over the Bucks last Saturday night at the LEC. All three Austin goals came on the power play. The Bucks are 1-14 on the man advantage in the series, while Austin is 4-15. 2003-04: The Bucks were 8-1-1 last year against Austin and outscored the Ice Bats 37-16. Laredo was 4-1-0 at the Bat Cave. All-time the Bucks are 12-9-1 against Austin, and 5-5-0 all-time at the Bat Cave.  AMARILLO GORILLAS · This is the first of three meetings this year between the teams. The Bucks host the Gorillas twice and travel to Amarillo once. 2003-04: The Bucks were 0-1-1 against the Gorillas last year. Amarillo rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to beat Laredo 3-2 in a shootout on November 11th, 2003 at the LEC. The Gorillas were one of three teams that defeated the Bucks at the LEC (RGV and BOS being the others). The Gorillas also defeated the Bucks 6-4 on February 7th, 2004 in Amarillo. In the playoffs the teams met in the Southern Conference Finals. The Bucks rallied from a 2-1 series deficit to beat Amarillo in six games. All-time Laredo is 1-2-1 against the Gorillas, including 1-0-1 at home in the regular season.  BUCKS SET FRANCHISE RECORD · The Bucks have lost back-to-back regulation games at home. This is the first time in franchise history that this has happened.  BUCKS TIE FRANCHISE RECORD · The Bucks have lost four straight games which ties a franchise record. The Bucks lost the first four games in franchise history back in the 2002-03 CHL regular season.  A REAL ACE · Bucks forward Adam Paiement is off to a hot start this season with four goals and three assists in seven games. Paiement is also hot with the golf club. Last week he recorded a hole in one on #5 at Casa Blanca Golf Course. Paiement was using a nine iron on the par three and was playing in a foursome with Hans Benson, Scott Kelman and Dion Hyman.  FIRST WEEKDAY GAME · This Thursday night is the first weekday game of the year for the Bucks. 20 of the Bucks 30 home dates are on either a Friday or Saturday.  HOME SWEET HOME · Laredo is in the midst of a stretch where they play eight of 11 at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The Bucks are 54-8-5 at home thru two plus seasons.  REVERSAL · Last year Bucks forward Jeff Bes registered his first 13 points on assists. He didn't score his first goal until November 8th against RGV (the ninth game of the year). This year Bes has five goals and zero assists thru seven games.  BUCKS WEEKLY GAME RECAPS · 11/06/04 â SATURDAY â The defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks allowed three power play goals and dropped a 3-1 decision to the visiting Austin Ice Bats in front of 6,069 fans at the LEC. Austin goalie Matt Barnes stopped 41 of 42 shots. The Bucks have lost a franchise record tying four straight games, including two in a row at home. Bucks goalie David Guerrera allowed three goals on 15 shots and took the loss to fall to 1-4-0. Barnes improved to 3-2-0 with the win. Forwards Greg Bullock and Derrick McIver each had a pair of goals to power the Rayz to the win. The Bucks are 2-4-0. Bucks goalie Jeremy Symington allowed five goals on 35 shots and took the loss to drop to 1-1-0. Rayz goalie Josh Blackburn stopped 31 of 35 shots to get the win.
