TAPS Fish House & Brewery to Host Postgame Party Friday

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Blues invite all of their fans to mingle with players, coaches and staff at Downtown Brea's TAPS Fish House and Brewery this coming Friday, June 15. The event will take place at 10 p.m. PT, immediately following the USL PRO clash with the visiting Dayton Dutch Lions at Fullerton's Titan Stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and have their photos taken with players and coaches.

"TAPS is a place where those passionate about sports converge for a house-brewed beer and a front-row seat for the game," said General Manager of the popular establishment, Trevor Kruder. "Many of our staff and management are themselves soccer players and avid fans, including our owner and proprietor, Joe Manzella. This close kinship with the sport made it an obvious decision to open our doors to the Blues and their supporters. It's a privilege to be hosting them."

TAPS offers the flavors of France, Asia and New Orleans in its selection of fresh seafood, prime steaks and thick chops. The eclectic, award-winning menu is executed by an extraordinary culinary team led by Executive Chef Manuel Gonzalez. Brewmaster Victor Novak's repertoire includes 31 to 35 classic styles of European and American alesand lagers, of which seven are currently on tap, plus one cask ale.

Novak's philosophy is to brew classic styles of European ales and lagers in a traditional manner, using only the finest ingredients. All hops and malt for TAPS' European-style beers are imported from England, Germany, and the Czech Republic, and all American styles incorporate unique domestic hops. TAPS' beers have won numerous awards at various national, state, and local beer competitions.

The Downtown Brea establishment, which is also known for its selection of award-winning wines, features an elegant main dining room, a lounge with an 80 sq ft TV, four fireplaces, a 21-seat oyster bar, frequent live music and a cigar-friendly, heated patio.

"Our goals with this event are to bring together the best North Orange County has to offer in terms of food and athletics, and to help make the Blues players, coaches and staff feel appreciated by their fans and the community they represent so proudly," said Kruder.
