
Tapp Shuts Out Otters to Earn Seventh Win

Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards improved to 9-6-2 on the season with a 2-0 win on Saturday night vs. Missouri at The MARK. Jason Tapp made 23 saves in earning his first shutout of the year while Evgeny Lazarev and Patrick Nadeau scored in the win. With the win, the Mallards snapped a four-game winless streak.
After a scoreless first, Lazarev recorded his ninth goal of the year to give the Mallards a 1-0 lead. Just 1:27 into the third period, Nadeau scored his fifth goal of the year to set the final at 2-0.
The Mallards are back on the ice tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. in Rockford. The game begins a month-long road trip. The Mallards Pre-Game Show begins at 12:40 p.m. During the intermissions, the Swiss Valley Farms Intermission Report is on the air.
